Without even knowing about it I won something I am not technically doing. On July 29, 2011 I won third place in the Daily Bee for the best massage therapist in Bonner County. As all my clients know, Rolfing is not massage… but it is bodywork, so often bodywork is defaulted to the massage category. As the only Rolfer in the county I would win number one if there was one for Rolfers, but there isn’t.

I went to a Rolfer in Palo Alto on a lark when I went to visit mt cousins in Santa Cruz CA. Jim Price (I think that was his last name). Jim was trained by Ida Rolf. I live in North Idaho and was working In Lake Taho doing design work and Driving to the Bay Area to have My 10 sessions. I then decided to be a Rolfer ( years before I had almost gone to Chiropractic school). I studied my anatomy all summer and was prparing for the first part of my training in Boulder CO., when Owen moved to Sandpoint From Scottsdale AZ. I had been telling everyone I know about Rolfing and went to have a treatment to see if I could recommend him to my people. I was amazed by his work. He was as good as Jim, who was considered one of the best!
He also did some Crainial work on me that was very good. I had that kind of work done in Dallas by someone very gifeted and Owen is amazing at Crainial work as well. The long and short of it is, that I went to the first round of Rolfing school in boulder, and combined with all the Rolfing, traveling and school, probably spent almost $10,000. When I got back, I dropped out of Rolfing school because of Owen being in Sandpoint, where I was planning on setting up a practice. I have not regretted that for one moment. I am so happy we all have him here and have referred hundreds of people to him (the smart ones had the treatment) over the last number of years he has been here. I will be eternally grateful to the help that may friends and family have gotten from this talented man. please excuse any miss spellings, I am an artist and not a speller. : )
